Eric Legge

President and CEO

Eric Legge joined Beyond Energy as VP of Operations in June of 2016. He began his career in MPD with @Balance working concurrently in R&D and field operations. Schlumberger acquired @Balance in 2011, at which time Mr. Legge was a Sr. Field Supervisor. He quickly rose into an Operations management role with a function in Sales. Eric has spent his career in the energy sector, working in 13 countries around the globe. He has gained a wealth of knowledge during this time and is a recognized expert in MPD and Leadership.

Eric completed an Electrical and Electronics Engineering degree in 2009 at the College of the North Atlantic in Newfoundland. He also completed a Masters's Degree in Business Administration via the University of Fredericton in 2022.

Leiro Medina

Executive Vice President

Leiro Medina joined Beyond Energy in 2016. Before becoming Executive Vice President, Leiro worked for Schlumberger for 10 years, primarily in several MPD/UBD roles, including Technical Services and Global Operations Support Manager.

He has lived and worked in several locations worldwide, helping to set up the MPD and UBD framework and training program. His career started in 2000 in the Venezuelan National Oil Company as a Drilling and Completions Engineer. He graduated in 2000 from the University of Zulia in Venezuela and earned a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering.

Darren Burrows

CFO

Darren Burrows joined Beyond Energy as CFO in January of 2019. He completed his Bachelor of Administration at the University of Regina, majoring in Accounting and Finance. With 20+ years of experience in Oil & Gas Services, Darren began his career with Weatherford at its McAllister manufacturing facility. He moved throughout its multiple product lines, including 2 years as the Operations Controller for its MPD/UBD division. He then spent 3 years at Logan Oil Tools as VP Finance – Canada and, most recently, HEAL Systems Inc. as CFO.

Justin Binsfeld

Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Justin Binsfeld has been with Beyond Energy since January 2019. Justin has been in the oil and gas industry since 2005, with 10+ years of sales, leadership, and focused account management experience. He holds a Diploma in Engineering Technology, with a petroleum specialty. In his current role, he oversees all Sales and Marketing efforts for Beyond Energy globally.

Joanne Robertson

Vice President of Shared Services

Joanne Robertson joined Beyond Energy in January 2020. She completed her Business education at NAIT, achieved the Alberta Professional HR designation, and completed the Graduate program at Royal Roads University for Executive Coaching. With 20+ years of experience at a senior level in Human Resources, Joanne began her career at AMEC. She spent 12 years in the Earth & Environmental division developing the HR and HSE functions across Canada and leading the HR group in the Western US. She then spent 2 years at Strad Energy Services as Director of HR before joining Smith International as Head of HR for the Canadian operations before Schlumberger acquired the company. She became the Canadian Drilling Group Personnel Manager. She most recently spent 5+ years at Nabors Drilling and their group of companies in Canada as the Director of HR.

Tyler Enns

Vice President of Manufacturing & Technology

Tyler Enns was a founding member of Beyond Energy. He has worked in MPD and UBD his entire professional career with experience internationally and offshore. Tyler holds a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering. He has designed and built most of Beyond's equipment, including separator tanks, controls systems, and RCDs.

Josh Letkeman

Vice President of Operations

Josh Letkeman has spent the past 15 years involved in MPD and UBD operations. Before joining Beyond Energy, Josh spent time at Schlumberger, Strata Energy, and Enhanced Drill Systems, holding supervisory roles in both the field and project management. Josh joined Beyond Energy in 2016 and recently became the Vice President of Operations.

Justin Baker

International Operations Manager

Justin Baker joined Beyond in 2017. He has 20+ years of experience in the oil industry, including 22 years in the MPD and UBD business. He has supported MPD, UBD, and PMCD operations globally. He has acted as MPD/UBD Engineer, MPD Drilling Advisor, Offshore DSV, Deepwater MPD Operations Team Lead. In his role in Beyond Energy, he currently oversees the international MPD Operations team.

Rudy Schipper

International Business Development Manager

Rudy Schipper joined Beyond Energy in 2017 and has overseen the International Business Development since. During his 26-year oilfield career, over 11 years were spent within Schlumberger's various business segments in roles ranging from FSM, Global Sales, to Area Business Manager. During the past 17 years, he has been intimately involved in the MPD/UBD industry, working with on and offshore operations.

Jennifer Hoban

Director, HSE

Jennifer Hoban joined Beyond Energy as the HSE Manager in 2016. She completed her studies in Occupational Health through the University of New Brunswick. Previous to her role with Beyond, she worked with various companies to develop and implement health and safety management programs and has 8+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry. She recently became the Director of HSE.

George Michaud

RCD Product Line Manager

George Michaud has been with Beyond Energy since Nov 2018. He has 27+ years of experience in the oil & gas industry, including 22+ years in the MPD and UBD business, mainly focused on the Operation, Design, Development, and Testing of Rotating Control Devices. George oversees the company's RCD manufacturing (OEM) facility in Red Deer, Canada. George is an active member of the IADC UBO/MPD Committees focusing on the API 16RCD Task Group.

John Breuer

Global MPD Engineering Manager

John Breuer joined Beyond Energy as MPD Engineering Manager in March of 2019. He completed two bachelor's degrees at the University of Regina, majoring in Petroleum Engineering and Mathematics. With 11+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, Mr. Breuer started his MPD career in Calgary, working at Weatherford in the MPD/UBD division.

Rob Colcleugh - Chairman

Mr. Colcleugh is the Chairman of the Board for Beyond Energy. Prior to Beyond, he was Managing Director of Investment Banking for Macquarie Bank. He was one of the founders of Tristone Capital, a global energy investment banking boutique, that was purchased by Macquarie in 2009.

Terry Freeman

Mr. Freeman is Head of Investments for ATB Capital, a private equity firm making minority equity investments in Alberta based companies. In the past he served as Managing Director of Northern Plains Capital, a niche private equity firm specializing in growth oriented oil field services and energy industrial investments. Terry also spent fifteen years as CFO of Flint Energy Services and its predecessors. He currently sits on the Boards of a number of private construction, energy services, private equity and real estate ventures as well as one public company.

In addition to these roles, Terry has held multiple volunteer positions with the CPAA CFO Leadership Program, the University of Alberta, and various other community and charitable organizations. He graduated from the University of Alberta in 1982 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. In his spare time, Terry enjoys running marathons, golfing, reading and spending time with his wife of 25 years, Kate, and their two children, Michael age 24 and Emma age 22 and their dogs Ellie and Kona.

Lonny Tetley

Mr. P.L (Lonny) Tetley is a partner in the securities group of Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and corporate governance matters. Mr. Tetley holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (concentrating in finance), both from the University of Calgary. Mr. Tetley is currently a director and corporate secretary of Certarus Ltd., a private company and the corporate secretary of Madalena Energy Inc. (TSXV: MVN) and several other private E&P companies, as well as a member of the Private Funds Independent Review Committee for Deans Knight Capital Management Ltd.

Ron Green

Mr. Green is a Canadian oilfield veteran with over 20 years of experience. He is currently the CEO of Promeita Infrastructure Corp, a private company focusing on the acquisition and development of regional water infrastructure for the Canadian oilfield. Previous roles included RVP of Rockwater Energy Solutions, COO of Pure Energy Services Ltd., and EVP at Delaney Energy.
Mr. Green attended Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and the Queens University Executive Program.

John Samuell

Mr. Samuell is a retired businessman with 40 years of oilfield experience. From 2010 to 2013 President of the Dynamic Pressure Management segment of Schlumberger. From 2005 to 2010, President and Chief Executive Office of @Balance, BV., a private company that developed and provided managed pressure drilling. Mr. Samuell has experience in various management capacities spanning international and domestic oilfield operations, business and technology development. Graduated from Texas A&M University in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
